Father, we come to You this morning, on the day we worship You, the Lord’s day, and we pray we worship you in truth, and spirit. Be with us Lord as we travel to the place we have chosen to worship You, keep us safe we pray, give us opportunity to share Your message, using words if we must.
Lead us to the place You would have us be, give us the work You would have us do, open our eyes to the truth of both, open our hearts to the passion and will to follow Your direction, to see Your presence, and complete the work assigned.
Lord, be with those attending services today, help them stay alert, attentive to Your word, and be with the preacher, securing him against a false doctrine.
Lord, we pray You will be with us as we approach that final hour, secure our knowledge in the fact we do not travel that path alone, that we do not come to the garden alone, but You accompany us along the way, and hold our hands as we enter that chilly Jordan.
Empower those Lord facing these last days, to face them with courage and peace that comes only from You, helping others know, and understand that it is not the end, but the beginning of an eternal life, without pain, without sorrow, without death, but a joy unknown, a joy that will be as bright after a thousand years as it is from the first moment.
Lord, help us to see You, hear You, know Your presence even in the darkest day, and let us know that somewhere within our pain, within our troubles, You are there, performing a great healing of faith, bringing us to a spiritual completion that can’t be found in the happy days, but only in the troubled days.
Lord, never let us forget the great blessings, the blessings of our families, our little ones, our loved ones, our friends. Never let us forget our brothers and sisters in Christ that have helped us along the troubled way, stumbling along that narrow path, falling, and being helped up by these brothers and sisters.
Lord, as we reach the end of the trail, the narrow path, we pray You will use all of us until the last day, no, to the last moment, the last breath, doing Your will, using our situation to show one more person to the glory that awaits for those who wait for You.
We pray this in the name of our Savior, the one who brings us eternal life, Jesus Christ. Amen.
