Morning Prayer June 27 2014

Lord, we come to You, thanking You for the blessing of another day,  and we pray we give true meaning to our declaration of appreciation , by taking advantage of the  opportunities You provide with us to share Your word, and this prayer with many people. We pray we demonstrate our faith, by our willingness to stand for Your truth, out loud, and bold to anyone who will listen.

littlegirl_saying_bedtime_prayerLord, we pray we will always have the courage to stand up for the children, protecting them from all evil. We pray they are protected even from our own misunderstandings of scripture, and correctness, praying You will open our eyes to the error in our own ways first, and others secondly.

Lord, we pray that all would come to the knowledge that the future lies in the hands of the small child, that it is all of our responsibility they be brought up with full knowledge of Your word, Your will, and taught to have a passion for following You, and not for worldly wealth.

Lord, I pray that as adults we also take our eyes off  worldly wealth, problems of the day, worldly issues and keep our eyes on the cross, and point to the cross for others to follow. However, Lord, we do also pray for the world, that peace could come to this earth, and we pray for protection of the innocents who are in harm’s way all over the world.

Lord, our heart is always on the less fortunate, but also for the overly fortunate, those who have worldly blessings that blind them to the truth of Your will, and keep them from following the path to eternal life.

Lord allow us to see that the truly fortunate of the world, are not those with worldly possessions, but those with spiritual wealth.

Lord, we want to end this prayer with the thoughts that should always be on our minds, asking forgiveness for our sins, repenting our sins, asking for Your continued provision for us, Your adopted children, and accepting both Your forgiveness, and provision in full faith. And, for the homeless, the hopeless, the helpless, the prisoner, those suffering from illness, and injury, for the orphan and widow. Help us keep our minds on You, and our actions in Your word helping all those who suffer.

In Christ’s Blessed Name we Pray. Amen.
