Morning Prayer July 21 2014

prayer20Good Morning Lord, We thank You for this beautiful day in which we have been blessed. Lord we thank You  for the wonderful weekend we had in Texarkana, and thank You for preachers like Chris Hooten, who know Your word so well, and preach only from the those scriptures,  without colorful or personal stories, but are still able to explain each verse in a way that captures our attention, and our minds, and hearts. Lord, we pray that his message will be embraced by all who heard it, and we pray they will all live by it, and share it as they can.

Lord, we pray for all the preachers of Your gospel, that they will preach in spirit and truth, and will do so boldly, without fear, and regardless of their ability to present the word, and regardless of how long they have been preaching, whether it is their first sermon or last, we pray it will move men, women, and children to seek You above all else.

Lord, we raise up to You the people and land of Israel, a people who only seek peace, a people who have only known suffering for most of their existence, a people who have only recently regained a portion of the land promised to them, a people known as the chosen people. Lord, we pray You will protect them from all these people that surround them whose only purpose is to destroy, or harm them.

Lord, we pray for all the people involved in this conflict, the protection of the innocent on both sides, the removal of evil leaders on both sides, and that all would come to a saving knowledge of Your word. We pray that all would embrace the truth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, that He is the word in the flesh, and that to follow Him leads to eternal life, and peace in a place whose beauty is beyond the imagination.

Lord, again today we ask for forgiveness of our sins, we repent those sins, and receive the requested forgiveness with full faith, along with our daily provisions in which we also pray.

We continue to pray for the homeless, hopeless, and helpless, along with orphan, widow, and prisoner, that You will be with them this day, protecting them, giving the peace, and teaching them Your word of truth through Your church.

We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
