Lord, we thank You for this Lord’s day, and pray for forgiveness of all our sins, those we know about, and those we do not know about.
Lord, we pray for our daily bread, both physical and spiritual, and accept this gift in full faith. Lord, we pray Your will, will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven, praying for a great worldwide revival of the church.
Lord, we pray for our family, we thank You for our physical family. We pray we can reach out to at least one member of our family with the truth of Your word, and inspire them to consider the evidences of Your love, and give them a passion to become a faithful servant of Yours, our creator, our God, and the father of our salvation.
Lord, we thank You for our spiritual family, the members of Your church who lead us, into all paths of Your undeniable truths. Lord, we pray that we can help each other along the narrow path, watching out for those who wonder off the path, or become entangled in one of the traps along the path set by the evil one, giving us the power to free them through Your word.
Lord, we pray for the lost of the world, help us Lord to reach out to them, sharing the gospel, the good news of salvation. Help us to show them the way so that their eyes will be opened, and their hearts turned to You.
Lord, we pray for the homeless, that shelter will be provided through Your church, along with all other needs of life, and let it be done in such a way they will know it comes from You.
Lord, we pray for the helpless, those who cannot protect themselves, such as the baby not yet born, that little life that must depend on others for survival, that we will have a heart and determination to protect them, and provide for them. We pray for the orphan, that we as the church can teach them, guide them and nourish them in Your word, that they may also be faithful servants to You all their lives.
Lord, help us to be patient and for forgiving of all those who would attack us, or attempt to thwart our efforts to live as You would have us live, and to spread Your word far and wide.
Lord, we pray for the lonely, that they will find solace in Your faithful love and promises. Let them find family, and love within the congregation, and we pray the congregation of Your church will reach out to them, showing them, and showering them with Your love.
Finally, Lord we pray for the prisoners, and we pray the lesson I will deliver to them this evening will be in truth, and spirit, and if anything in my lesson is outside of Your absolute truth, You will reveal it to me, and remove it from the lesson. Lord I pray that as I teach them of the power they have, as one person, one man, that they will embrace the truth of this lesson, and live by it, and reach out to others, even if only to protect one other from the attack of satan, if only to help one person to gain access to eternal life in heaven, that their live at that point becomes a life well lived, a life that will be considered the work of the good and faithful servant.
In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
