Father, thank You for another day in which we can worship You. Lord, as we enter into the fullness of the week, as we deal with daily problems, and obstacles, let us remember that we worship You, we serve You, every day of the week, in everything we say, in everything we do, not just on Sundays.
Lord, let us not just worship You with the idea of going to heaven, or avoiding hell, but let our motivation to simply be good and faithful servants to You, our creator, our God.
Lord, as we deal with other people thru the course of the day and of the week, let us always share Your word, looking for opportunities to bring You and Your word into as many conversations as you would provide. Lord, when we fail to share Your word, allow us the faith that it simply wasn’t Your will to do so. Lord, help us all to remember, as we have dedicated our lives to You, that means, You are in control of our lives, and in fact it is no longer our life, but Yours, so every action we do has been purposed or permitted through Your perfect will, for the eventual perfection of Your plan.
Lord, daily we bring before You our request for forgiveness of all the sins we commit and we repent those sins. We also thank You for; in full faith, and ask You for our daily bread, that fills both physical needs, and spiritual needs.
We also daily lift up to You all those suffering without a home, without a parent, without a spouse, without a hope, and without good health, that You would help each of us perform the work assigned in taking care of these people.
Lord, we lift up the prisoners to You, praying that You will continue to send people to them that can teach them about the beautiful life available even to them behind bars, if they will just study, learn, and teach Your words and truth where they are.
In Christ’s perfect name we offer this prayer. Amen.
