Lord this morning we come to You in behalf of all those suffering from disease, and injury. We pray that You would heal where You see fit, give comfort, and peace where healing is not Your plan. We pray You will be with the families, giving them the strength to deal with a loved one who is about to leave this earth. We pray for the souls of the dying, that salvation would come to those in the last hour if necessary, and that peace of eternal life will be a comfort to Your long term workers. We pray for a peaceful passing for those who are dying.
Lord, we also pray a special prayer for the prisoners today. Often their burden is very great having been removed from family, and society. Lord, we pray this time away from the normal burdens of life will give them the opportunity, the desire, and determination to learn Your word, to implement Your word into their lives. We pray they will become “inside” preachers, leading many other men and women to a saving grace. Lord, help them to understand You have separated them from their past lives for a reason, and often that reason is for a season of spiritual growth.
Lord, as always we also lift up to You the homeless, the helpless, and the hopeless. We pray for the widow, and the orphan, that You will be their light, life, and hope.
Lord, we pray for the forgiveness of our sins, and we repent those sins, and we ask You would help us to resist those sins that plague us daily, and help us to resist the charms of this temporary world, and help us keep our eyes on the path You have set before us that leads to eternal life, and joy with You in a place where we will no longer suffer the pain of age, and disease. Where death is no longer a possibility.
Lord, we pray for the provisions You have promised, accepting in full faith the daily bread, both physical and spiritual. We also accept in full faith the knowledge that You are faithful, and we will walk through this day without fear, without being troubled with problems, but accepting them as mere potholes in the road to salvation.
Lord, we also thank You for all the great and wonderful blessings. We thank You for America, and we pray You will once again bless her and keep her, and lead her to honoring Your name above all names in every classroom, and in every courtroom.
Lord, we pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
