Lord, help us this morning to understand that faith means trusting You in the controlling of our lives which we have turned over to You. That we may not understand in earthly, worldly terms the occurrences in our lives, but with You at the helm, all is well.
Help us understand that we do not lean on our own understanding, and that understanding is not the requirement, but faith that in whatever we do, even if it seems “un-Godly”, is the requirement, and that a purpose is behind everything we do, and that You permit or purpose everything in this life we think of as our own, and our part is to merely repent, and beg forgiveness for those actions we do not understand, leaving all things in Your hands.
We continue to ask for forgiveness of our sins, and we continue to ask for deliverance from our sins, and yet we are not delivered from them, and keep sinning, even after we have given full control of our lives and thoughts over to You.
Help us to understand these sins that feel like filthy rags which continue to plague us help us remember our human state, that we are still walking through this strange land, that we are still pilgrims, and that the day of our deliverance from this world, and these sins that feel so filthy is still ahead, and that we still strive for the day of perfect cleansing, through the blood or our savior.
Lord, we thank You for all the wonderful blessing You have bestowed upon us, Your slaves. We will continue on the path to glory, and we know You will help us avoid the pitfalls, or help us out of them if needed, and even carry us along when we are so exhausted from the trials of this world.
Lord, as usual, as we do daily, we pray for the homeless, the helpless, the hopeless, the orphan, widow, and the prisoner. We pray for those in harm’s way protecting us from the evil that is so bountiful in this world at this time in history. We pray You will extend Your gracious mercy upon them, covering them with Your love, teaching them Your word and will, giving them faith in Your promise, providence, and purpose.
Lord, we pray for and receive our daily bread in full faith.
Lord we pray all this in the name of Your Son, our savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
