Father God, we come to You this morning seeking a gift from You, the gift of courage, the kind of courage that can only come from You. A courage that stands strong regardless of the level of biblical knowledge we have, a courage to face the unapproachable, a courage that would honor You.
Lord, we pray for the courage that would allow us, fortify us, drive us to speak Your name, to Preach Your word, to reach out with full faith to those who do not know you.
Lord, give us the courage to study Your word, and defend Your word without wavering.
Lord, give us the courage to change our understanding of Your word when a disagreement of meaning occurs.
Lord, give us the courage to do Your work here on Earth.
Lord, give us the courage to seek eternal life regardless of hardship, or comfort we may deal with here on Earth.
Lord, give us the courage to repent out daily sins.
Lord, give us the courage to pray to You for our daily bread.
Lord, give us the courage to pray to You in public, never wavering under public pressure, or peer pressure, to not do so.
Lord, be with the homeless, the helpless, the hopeless, the lost, the orphan, the widow, the people who are in danger while they protect us. Lord, give them all courage to face their daily trials.
And, finally Lord, we ask for the courage to forgive all people who assault us, belittle us, and insult us, because of our faith in You.
We pray for all this, and thank You for all the great blessings You bestow upon all of us, and receive these things in full faith that we are praying within Your will, in the name of Jesus Christ our savior. Amen.
