Let us Pray Together

Let us Pray Together

Lord, we come to You this morning with a thankful heart. Thankful for another day, another Lord’s day. We pray that many people will come to a saving knowledge of Your word today, and many more will worship You in truth and spirit, and that we worship You in a way pleasing and acceptable to You.

Thank You Lord, for all our blessings, the blessing of being American with all the freedoms that come with that citizenship. Lord, we thank You for our brotherhood with Christ, and all the congregations that will gather in Your name, worshiping You, and our Savior Jesus Christ.

Lord, we thank You for our salvation, and the sacrifice You made allowing Your Son Jesus Christ be our Christ, to die on the cruel cross of Calvary so that we might have an opportunity for eternal life, if only we believe and follow His commands.

Lord, we pray for forgiveness of the apathy, and the complacency we often have as we go through this life, at times living as if this earthly life would never end. Lord, we pray forgiveness of not sharing Your word as we should have in this country founded upon the teachings of Christ Himself. We repent the sin of falling away as a nation, and pray You would lead us back to the narrow path as a nation, as one people, one nation, under God.

Lord, we pray for our leaders, that they would have a change of heart, reestablishing Your laws as our guidelines rather than superseding Your law with their false ideas of justice. Lord, we pray they would either change, or You would replace them with courageous men who do not fear the minority groups who represent evil, yet speak so loudly, courageous men who will not be changed and warped by the evil charms of power and wealth, but will keep this country on an even equilibrium of Christian doctrine.

Lord, we want to never forget to bring to Your attention of all people of the world who suffer. The homeless, the starving, the prisoners, the orphans, widows, hopeless, the helpless, remember them all Lord, and give them the peace, protection, and provision of the physical, and spiritual all to Your glory Lord, and please forgive us when we fail to be that source for them as we are blessed with so many riches, just being a citizen of this great country, this great experiment called America.

Lord, and finally, again, we bring to Your attention the plight of America, this country founded upon the principles of Christ, now under attack by satan, we pray You will shower us with You Devine love, and protection, bring us to a place Lord where the rest of the world will stand in awe of our faith in You.

In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
