I love history. It fascinates me. You start telling me something historical, and you will probably have my full attention. It doesn’t really even matter what it is. Egyptian Pyramids, Australia as a prison territory, Salem witch trials, Westward Expansion, Captain Cook in Hawaii, Tudor England, French Revolution, or the Ming Dynasty. There is so much to be learned from what happened in a moment and how one person responded. Stories let us examine the “what ifs” but history is what did. We know the results of some of these actions, and it’s our responsibility to learn from them.

Women are an interesting part of history. In many cases, women weren’t a strong focal point of a particular event. Given a particular event in history, and it might even take a few names before that of a woman is listed. But despite that, women have impacted history in both good…
