Morning prayer : December 4, 2014

Featured Image -- 1666Gracious Heavenly Father, we pray for Your perfect will to be enacted in our lives at all times, in everything we do, in everything we say, and in everything we study. Lord, let our lives be an open bible to those who do not have one. Let us live in such a way that other people will want to know our “secret” to happiness.

Lord, let us cherish each day, regardless of whether it is wonderful, or the most difficult, let us cherish the day as a great blessing You have given us to use as another opportunity to seek You, and to seek spiritual growth, and completeness.

Lord, help us keep our minds on things above, giving no regard to those things which would attract us in a worldly sense.

Lord, if we have pride, let it be in the blood of Christ. Let us not have pride in our wisdom, or knowledge of the word, but share it meekly, and humbly with whomever will listen. Lord, let us not have pride in our individual personas, but recognize that we are a strange group of people, to whom the world considers foolish. Let us have pride in the great blessing of eternal life with our savior.

Lord, we continue to ask forgiveness of sins, because we continue to sin in thought and deed. Lord, we pray the day will come when we will no longer suffer under the burden of sin in this world, but can live in such a pure way to be a pleasure in Your sight.

Lord, we continue to ask and receive all blessings, and sustenance from You in full faith, know You are behind all things that come our way that assists in our journey through this world, but do let us take pride in any type of ownership.

Lord, we truly look forward to the day of the return of Jesus Christ in whose name we offer up this prayer.

Amen.
