Father we thank You for another “Lord’s Day” in which we can come together in large or small groups, and sometimes individually, praying all is acceptable to You, and we pray that our worship is in truth and spirit, and also acceptable and pleasing to You.
We pray this morning for all preachers of Your word, that they will preach in truth, not given much to personal experience, good stories, but sticking to scripture experience and evidences, and sharing the stories of Christ. Lord, forgive us when we use worldly examples, and personal experiences to give a lesson, and when we do help us make it a perfect example of Your teaching, and in a way that does not self-glorify.
Lord, help us to worship you in the pattern You have provided, and let us not make a mockery of Your word, by turning worship of You into worship of self through unscriptural entertainment, in vocal or instrumental music.
Lord, help us to have the courage to not take away or add to Your word, nor the pattern of worship.
Lord, we pray you will forgive and have forgiven us our sins.
Lord, we pray for our daily bread.
Lord we pray that the Holy Spirit will be with us, helping us in a loud, and clear manner. Lord, give us the heart and a passion to follow His instruction and the ability to do it perfectly.
Lord, we pray for the quick return of our savior, and that You will be done on earth until His return.
Lord, we pray for all this in complete faith of Your promises, and upon the blood of Christ in whose name we offer up this prayer to You. Amen.
