Morning Prayer January 17 2015

imageFather our prayer this morning is for the homeless. Those poor lost souls without a home, without a knowledge of where their next meal will come from . We pray for their safety,  we pray through the church, they will find their way, they will find comfort, and they will always know where they can get a hot a meal.

Lord, we know many are homeless due to choice, others due to their lifestyle, and other due to circumstances beyond their control, but regardless of the reason, let us not be judges, but angels of mercy.

Lord, we thank you for those who spend their time, and energy with this purpose in mind, to help the down trodden, to give them a hand out, along with a hand up.

Lord, we pray You will heal them of the reasons they are out there, we pray this difficult time in their lives will bring them closer to You.discouraged-pastor

We pray that even though they may be lost in this world, they will find that narrow path that will lead them to eternal security , and eternal life as Lazarus, finally finding peace in the arms to Christ.

Lord, we confess our sins of ignorance of the plight of others, we confess our sins of being self-serving, caring only about our own comfort, and we confess all our sins.

Lord, we pray for forgiveness of these sins, and an opportunity to set things straight, that You will place in our hearts the needs of others, before our own.

Lord, we pray for our daily bread, and a heart to share it with all those in need.

Lord, we receive this forgiveness, we receive this daily bread in full faith, and we wait patiently in full faith of the spiritual healing we pray for. And, finally Lord, we ask for opportunities to help others, and to teach others of the glorious narrow path to true happiness, freedom, and eternal life in a place too beautiful for the limited human imagination.

We pray all this in the name of our Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
